The weather of Del Rio is quite mild. Year-round temperature averages from just over 46 degrees to just less than 78 degrees. The hottest temperatures occur in July and August, reaching into the low 90s. January is the coolest month, with temperatures occasionally dropping to 39 degrees. Annual rainfall averages less than 11 inches.

Because the year-round weather is so mild, Del Rio residents take part in an active, outdoor lifestyle. Nearby Modesto is home to several golf courses, including three very nice municipal courses. The city also manages 66 parks, totaling 337 acres of land. Local bird watchers, hikers and explorers also frequent the nearby Tuolumne River Regional Park.
